This package contains the sheet music and TAB for the walking bass line that I've written for 'Serenade To A Cuckoo'. The chord progression is included along with two backing tracks (from iReal Pro); one with the bass line, one without. 
 
'Serenade To A Cuckoo' is quite a lively jazz standard and very fun to play. On full-band recordings, you can hear the lead instruments imitating the sound of a cuckoo. It has an AB form and lots of bars with two chords in, which I think helps add momentum to the piece. 
 
Once you can play through the piece with the backing track provided, have a go at playing along with the Roland Kirk Quartet version (the bass lines will clash a little, but it gives you a good feel for the song and what it sounds like with the melody).
